Big Think recently featured a video featuring a very optimistic Joel Primack, an astrophysicist who believes we have passed an important threshold in terms of understanding the structure of the universe. This has to do with unlocking the mysteries of dark matter, which we know very little about, except that it makes up the vast majority of all matter in the universe.
