China might produce 600,000 engineers per year, but the U.S. still has a competitive advantage – imagination. In order to innovate and solve the grand challenges facing the world, according to the entrepreneur Jack Hidary, we need to do more than just simply produce more scientists.


Just as crucially, Hidary says, in the XPRIZE Insights video below, this is not about the U.S. versus China. If we want to tackle the global water crisis or cure cancer, we need to work together.
