Extraterrestrials might be thinking twice about visiting Earth, based on this view from space of the latest winter storm that is pummeling the southeastern United States. The image was captured on Feb. 11 by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s GOES-East satellite. Conditions might still get worse, as NOAA warns of a potentially “paralyzing ice storm.”
