Ron Paul’s Farewell Message: Beware the ‘Government Media Complex’

Just before leaving office in 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered a farewell message in which he warned of “the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.” 


Ron Paul, who is retiring from Congress, today delivered what might be his last remarks on the House floor. Channeling Eisenhower, Paul identified the “Government Media Complex” as a threat to our democracy, but offered the Internet as a meaningful alternative.
