This Telemarketer Robot Claims She is a Real Person. Can You Tell the Difference?

TIME Washington Bureau Chief Michael Scherer received a call from a telemarketer offering a deal on health insurance. There was something uncanny about the call. The telemarketer sounded amazingly like a real person, and even claimed to be one. However, the telemarketer also failed other tests (although the robot had ways of avoiding questions – such as claiming a bad connection).
