The world’s second known pregnant man is expecting a baby boy new month. Scott Moore and his partner, who were both born female, have undergone gender reassignment surgery. “Scott, 30, is legally married to Thomas, with whom he lives in California, because he still has a female birth certificate. ‘We know some people will criticise us, but we are blissfully happy and not ashamed,’ said Scott. The pair already have two adopted boys, Gregg, 12, and Logan, 10, who are the children of a former female partner of Thomas’s. Thomas, also 30, said: ‘We want to show the world that trans-families can be healthy, loving and nurturing.’ The world’s first ‘pregnant man’, Thomas Beattie, from Oregon, made headlines around the world in 2008. Scott, who was born a girl called Jessica, first realised he wanted to be a man when he hit puberty aged 11. ‘I was always a tomboy but when I started to develop breasts I realised I’d been born in the wrong body.’”
