The closer you get to beauty, the harder it is to describe.

Question: Have you developed a sense of what beauty is?

Robert Pinsky: I have developed a sense of what beauty is and I can’t tell you anything about it, but I know that I have more of it than I used to and the longer I live the more I court it and pursue it and struggle with it, I do feel like I know more about it and one of the things I know about it is that I can’t describe it to you.
