Love is making your problem my problem.

Question: What is love?

Rick Warren: Love is making your problem my problem. Love is giving yourself to someone without any guarantee of getting anything back. Love is giving. You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving. And love is giving a person what they need, not what they deserve. And our model for that is God. If God gave us what we deserve, none of us would be here. He gives us what we need, not what we deserve. That’s called “grace”. Grace is when you get what you need, not what you deserve. And the Bible says that love is patient, it’s kind, it’s not rude. It thinks of the other person. Love is the opposite of selfishness.
