Anne Frank: All Mankind Must Act to Prevent Destruction

Anne Frank (1929-1945) is one of the most famous and discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust. An aspiring writer living in Amsterdam, the teenage Frank went into hiding with her family in 1942. They were betrayed to the SS in 1944 by a still-unidentified informant and subsequently arrested. Frank, along with her sister Margot, died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in March 1945 — only a month prior to the end of the war. The diary she kept while in hiding was published in 1947 as The Diary of a Young Girl by her father Otto, the only surviving member of the Frank family. It went on to become an international bestseller.
