This past September, the Mars Curiosity Rover found evidence of flowing water on the Red Planet, its most significant scientific discovery. Water is found in the form of ice on the planet’s polar ice caps and water vapor is also present in the atmosphere. No bodies of water exist. But they used to, thousands or perhaps millions of years ago, as this photo attests.
