The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to fall’s equinox. This full moon will peak tomorrow morning at 7:13am EDT.


Nevertheless, stargazers will be rewarded this evening with a nearly full moon that will be fairly spectacular. After all, the Harvest Moon got its name because it was so bright it allowed farmers to get in a few extra hours during the harvest because the moon illuminated their fields.
