Well, there’s many kinds of storytelling and I don’t think there’s a crib sheet for what makes a great story.  I mean, lots of like bad creative writing programs will probably tell you that there is, but I disagree with that. 

I think, actually, what makes a great story is the authenticity of the voice of the storyteller and that is going to mean something different for each person.  So I think what you have to do is to get in touch with your voice and your experience in your life and speak from that.
