Who could have predicted that Chief Justice John Roberts would break with the conservative block on the Supreme Court and write the majority opinion upholding the individual mandate, one of the key provisions of the Affordable Care Act? Big Think blogger Will Wilkinson did just that, and then some, even predicting that Roberts’s opinion would cause a “minor revolution” in legal precedent by narrowing the power of the commerce-clause.
As Andrew Sullivan noted on The Daily Beast, it is now time for Wilkinson to take a bow.
